Artistic Natural Copper Wire is not bare copper wire but has a protective coating and is colored for a slightly softer natural look than bare copper has.
Artistic Wire is a copper based soft tempered wire that has an enamel coating for tarnish resistance, chipping and peeling and is able to withstand wire wrapping techniques.
18 Gauge is a heavier gauge wire measuring approx 1.02mm diameter and is great for jump rings or wire art involving hammerwork. Because of the thickness, this wire can be a little tough to work with. If you are stringing beads make sure the thread hole on the bead is large enough to allow the wire through.
